Needle felted pictures are created with soft wool of different kinds and many colors by using a special barbed needle that binds the wool fibers together when repeatedly poked. Students work on a special sponge surface and use leather finger protectors to avoid getting poked themselves. Amazing detail and subtle effects can be created as you can see from this gallery of student projects.
This class is usually only open to students ages 8 and up.
