Charcoal drawing is the one class that I offer on a consistent basis both during the school year and in the summer workshop schedule. That is because it is a great foundation for understanding the importance of seeing values and being able to identify and reproduce them when translating a scene or image from the real world onto a two dimensional piece of paper. Everyone seems to really enjoy working with charcoal, even children as young as 6, so this class is always open to students ages 6 and up.
